It was the most shining page of the Republic of Türkiye
after Atatürk and his revolutions. The people who are in side with
intelligence, logic, justice, democracy and independence have felt its absence
for about half a century. But now it does not exist and its alternative has
been leading us to a dark future at a run.
That constitution was consisting of many important features
concerning rights and freedooms, work life, social, democratic and secular
state. Of course it had also some faults but those faults are said to be
nothing when it is compared with the replacing constitution in September 12,
1980.
The constitution
accepted by a progressive assembly in May 27, 1961 had been also
accepted by a referendum in July 9, 1961. All the reactionists had attacked it
by propagandazing that, it is a “plentifull dress”… Now they are all trying
people to accept their very narrow darknesses.
Those reactionists, on the other hand, are trying to embrace
to European Union like a one who is embracing to a snake when she/he fall down
to the sea.
But it is an important fact that the reactionists well know
to take the people’s pulse. Whenever
they feel themselves enough powerfull, they leave all the things they have to
fold like the “attempts” to join European Union.
One of the most dangerous process that we can face with,
will be the agreement between them and Ergenekon kind of structures. If it
happens, then all the people who say “Türkiye does not become Iran” will look
for a hole to escape…
